Colt has a 100-year history with the U.S. Border Patrol, with Colt revolvers being the first official weapon issued and carried by U.S. Border Patrol Mounted Guards, Patrol Inspectors and Border Patrol Agents.
On February 2,1996 Border Patrol Academy Class 293 became the last class to be issued a revolver, affectionately known as the ‘wheel gun’. Colt’s long history with the U.S. Border Patrol continues today with the standard issued long arm being the Colt M-4.
Border Patrol Foundation (BPF) is honored to partner with Colt Manufacturing, LLC (a member of Colt CZGroup) to produce an exclusive version of the Colt Python .357 Magnum revolver to commemorate the U.S. Border Patrol Centennial Anniversary and benefit BPF. The exclusive, limited edition Colt Python Revolver .357 Magnum revolver is a tribute to the men and women who hold the line everyday protecting America. The revolver features the U.S. Border Patrol seal, “Honor First” and “1924 – 100 years – 2024” engraved on the barrel, and the walnut grips will have the exclusive U.S. Border Patrol Centennial Seal. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each handgun will benefit Border Patrol Foundation.
